We believe we can all make a difference.

Committed to ethical, slow fashion.

OUR ETHOS

We care where it comes from and where it ends up.

We don’t just pay lip service to the notion of ethical production, sustainable fibres and slow fashion. We live and breath these values in every step of our design, production and making process. It is our promise to deliver honest, sustainably sourced and ethically made knitwear.

COMMITED TO SLOW FASHION

1. Sustainable + biodegradable fibres.

At a time where the increasing need to consider our consumer footprint is ever prevalent, the fashion industry is no exception. MIA FRATINO use only 100% natural fibres that are biodegradable and environmentally sustainable. We do not use any synthetics blends.

PRECISION CRAFTMANSHIP

2. Made to last.

Our team are dedicated to environmental awareness. We advocate mindful purchasing and encourage choosing quality over quantity. We insist on precision craftsmanship and create garments intended to last many seasons in both quality and design.

We passionately educate our customers about cashmere garment care, encouraging proper care and repair over replacement. We offer an online Care Clinic and ‘Rejuvenation & Mending’ service for any of your cashmere pieces!

WE MADE IT. IN OUR OWN FACTORY.

3. Ethically Made.

All MIA FRATINO garments are made in our own factory in Sri Lanka. We are committed to promoting a happy working environment with respect for all our employees. Our staff are afforded privileges & entitlements comparable to the conditions of any Australian or European factory.

We are fully certified to global SMETA, GOTS & Oekotex standards and leaders in ethical knitwear manufacturing.

SOCIAL COMMITMENT

4. Socially Responsible

Free from the notion of needing to “give back“. MIA FRATINO proudly established a non-profit micro-finance organisation when they first set up manufacturing in Sri Lanka in 2011. This program is seperate to our factory and has a community based philanthropic focus, empowering women who are living in poverty.
